In April of
2005, my good friend Mr. Wang took me to the Shaoguan
area. We visited three temples: Dajian ("Great
Mirror") Temple in central Shaoguan, the world-famous
Nanhua Temple to the south, and this, Bei Chuan Chan Si,
in the Dan Xia San scenic region to the north.
This view is
looking up toward the main hall. The weather was dull, so
lots of work was done in heightening the appearance of things in
this picture. The affect was achieved by
"tweaking" the color and applying a simple watercolor
filter. Some "hand work" was then applied, et voila!
Note: There is
also a Gallery
of pictures of Bei Chuan Chan Si, and a Journal
entry about Dan Xia Shan.
